FABRIC CALC APP REVIEW

Fabric Calc is one of those decorating/design apps that is so useful you wonder how you lived without it. Essentially it allows you to use your smartphone to determine the required yardage for your upholstery projects! Simply choose the item you want upholstered, enter the width, depth, and height measurements and allow Fabric Calc to give you the required yardage.

We can finally stop carrying around the tattered upholstery yardage table to the fabric store and instead whip out our smartphone for a divine design tool that’ll help us get the most accurate fabric measurement every time.

In the upcoming weeks, developers will modify this app to include vertical and horizontal fabric repeats, as well as a calculator for pillows and custom bedding.

I’ve also submitted a request to add a simply drapery fabric calculator, too!

This app is the brain child of my friend Maria Bailey Benson of Atlanta-based Arthur L. Bailey & Co. Furniture.

It’s free, functional, and fabulous. Download it today and give it a whirl!

Verdict

Fabric Cal is quick, efficient and easy to use. Once it includes the updates, it will be perfection!

This year one of my resolutions is to streamline my business  processes. An app like Fabric Calc brings me steps ahead of accomplishing this goal. Try it today.
